I've lost interesting in blogging =|

I'm pretty sure no one reads this anymore, but if anyone does, here are a couple of reminders.

SPIDERMAN 3 COMES OUT MAY 4TH!
and WHAT comes before that? On May 3rd? Anyone?
Yep, our last concert of the year.
I know, its NEXT week, we're not even prepared =/ but that's okay.
Sophmore girls get to wear pretty dresses instead of the orchestra one.
Everyone else has to wear their formal uniform :P

What's also on May 3rd?
MONEY FOR ORCHESTRA BANQUET.
Note: You can bring ONE date, and they don't have to be from this school.
$25 for each person.

Good luck to everyone going to South Padre this weekend.
I wish I could go with you guys but unfortunately I can't. Think of me :P
While you guys are getting on the bus at 5:30 AM... I shall be sleeping, and I won't wake up for another 2 hours :)
I will be Planks-free over the weekend.
:P

I'm not sure but there could be rehearsals for everyone next Monday.
I should check on that.

Okay I'm OUT.

- Pauline :)

Just a reminder, there's an orchestra concert tomorrow! WOOT. Yeah, but how do you forget about an orchestra concert? I'm pretty sure its gonna be the most amazing concert in concert history  I mean with our amazing electric bass guitarist BRUCE CARRICO and our guest singer, I'm pretty sure its going to be one snazzy concert.

A Salute to American Music
Jazz, Fiddle, & Blues

Be sure to be in the orchestra room ready to tune and what not by 6:30! Don't be an idiot and talk when the clock strikes 6:30, Mr. Planks will catch you, and then he will beat you into a pulp =) Or he'll embaress you in front of the WHOLE orchestra, I personally like the second thing better, its much more entertaining to see your face turn red after getting told by Mr. Planks.

Don't forget to wear your FORMAL UNIFORMS. Girls got it easy, right? All you have to do is put on the dress, the only problem you have would be zipping it up by yourself, or maybe that's just me, haha... its just so hard to reach

Boys, don't forget your ties and cummerbunds or whatever they're called. You all want to look SNAZZY in your tuxedos

Um, make sure to bring your music? Don't think that your partner will have their music, so bring yours just in case. I still think there's gonna be a "I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA BRING YOUR MUSIC" and a "NO I THOUGHT YOU WERE!" type of argument in the orchestra room tomorrow. *Sigh* I did warn you.

Well, I think that's all for now.

BY THE WAY, have you guys seen our SNAZZY banners? They're pretty sweet, or as I like to say, "schweet", no? I'M SO PROUD OF THEM! =) They're already hung up on the stage, I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to take a picture of it and hang it up in your room, I mean, they are pretty fabulous.

I've used the word snazzy like, what, 3 times now? I don't even know what it means but it sounds pretty cool.

Okay, now that's really all.

Uniform Checkout!
Girls: September 7/8
Boys: September 11/12

Come prepared with $20 (in cash, checks will not be accepted)! And don't forget to get yourself measured, girls, if you don't know your measurements the day of uniform checkout then you're going to have a blast trying on a bezillion dresses until you find the right one. Of course you might get lucky and find the right dress on your first try but don't test your luck.  Boys, I don't know what Mr. Planks will do with you if you don't know your measurements but he isn't going to be happy, hehe.

Fund-raiser!

Don't leave your candy in the car because it WILL melt. Yes, the temperature has gone down but your candy will still melt if you leave it in the car. Your friends don't like deformed candy bars which means they won't buy them

Don't leave your box of candy unsupervised, people will steal your candy. Don't try to sell your candy when class has started, if your teacher gets mad or if you get detention, don't say I didn't warn you

Oh yes, and I know you love your friends but they do tend to forget things. So don't believe that "give me the candy bar today and I'll pay you tomorrow", unless you're willing to pay for the candy bar that your friend ate when they forget to bring you the money.

Philharmonia and Camerata, don't forget that there's an orchestra rehearsal on Monday, September 11th. Camerata's is from 6-7 and Philharmonia's is from 7-8.

I think that's all for now.

Dear fellow orchestra members,

For those of you out there who still read this thing, helloo from yours truly.

Just a reminder:
All-region fees are due THIS FRIDAY! (September 1, 2006)
So if you plan on trying out for all-region please make sure that you have $10 ready to turn in by Friday. If you don't get the money in on time then too bad so sad

Rehearsals:

September 11, 2006
Camerata 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Philharmonia 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

September 18, 2006
Philharmonia 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Camerata 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

September 25, 2006
DRESS REHEARSAL - ALL ORCHESTRA MEMBERS!!!
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Please be sure to mark these dates on your calender so you don't miss rehearsals. Also, DO NOT BE LATE because our Fall Concert is less than a month away! (I would advise getting there early to unpack so you'd be ready to tune and you most definitely do NOT want Mr. Planks to be glaring daggers at you when you walk in late.)

That's all for now,
Mr. Planks hasn't decided on when he's going to have us try on our formal uniforms so until then, ttfn!

- Pauline Pham, Sinfonia Orchestra President

(Man, it feels so cool typing that.)
